POISE Foundation does not run programs as part of its overall mission. However, our mission does state that the Foundation will be a catalyst for change and growth in the Black community. With this in mind, POISE from, time to time, will initiate programs or partner with others (particularly those who may not have their own 501(c)(3) designation) whose programs align with our mission to respond to community needs or create awareness and exposure to the contributions African Americans have made to our society.

Currently, the Foundation is involved in several programs or collaborations that address developing the youth of Pittsburgh's Black community in the areas of health, educational choices, economic development, and historic and cultural awareness.

In addition, the Foundation is collaborating with a select number of organizations to enhance the philanthropic role of African Americans in the Pittsburgh region.
